Mar. 11, 全民双色球大乐透下载安装 | The pews in chapel were sparsely filled this morning as the women in our community took a stand to make a statement.
In recognition of International Women's Day, a surprise awaited the men in our community during today's chapel. The assembly began as usual, with students filing in after breakfast, sharing announcements, and listening to the reading of Effort Ratings. But there was one glaring abnormality; there were no women in the room. After a few words from our prefects, female community members of all ages marched into the room, emphatically proclaiming the exploits of women through history. They shared about Rachel Carson's documentation of the adverse effects of pesticides, Maya Angelou's poetry that inspired millions, Amelia Earhart's contribution to the world of aviation, Marta Vieira da Silva to promote women in soccer, and many more. Each celebration of powerful women was punctuated by a chorus of students proclaiming "we thank women." The most powerful statement was the tacit expression of the importance of women in our own community that resonated through the room.
